About this Deputy Prime Minister Mger Grigoryan stated on Wednesday to journalists, commenting on the discussion of the Working Group led by the Deputy Prime Ministers of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan, writes Sputnik Armenia.
One of the options made to the discussion is that, without waiting for the construction of a new railway at Megry and Mindzen sites – Hoodiz, open a message through Nakhchivan to Iran (as it has previously stated that construction can occupy three years).
“Any possibility of unlocking, which can be done with the help of an existing infrastructure, of course, is desirable for us. But this is the subject of negotiations, and talk to what agreement we will come, I can not yet,” said Grigoryan.
The possibilities of opening another railway – Ijevan-Gazakh (through the north-east of Armenia) were discussed. However, at this stage, the most realistic projects that give a reasonable ratio of expenditures and the result, explained Grigoryan.
“Although no option was filmed from the agenda, but now issues applicable to this stage of negotiations are being discussed,” the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia explained.
He added that the issue of restoring the railway communication with Turkey was still considered only at the conceptual level, without any detail.
