Increase in Russian Federation for import of tomatoes will positively affect export of Turkey

Russia’s increase in quota to import tomatoes from Turkey will positively affect the volume of the country’s export.

This was in an interview with Anadolu said the chairman of the Union of Investors and manufacturers of greenhouses (Sera-bir) Halil Pakdemir.

He noted that this decision of Moscow was perceived with satisfaction with both tomato manufacturers and exporters.

“Russia is one of the important markets for us. The volume of exports to Russia in the first six months of 2023 amounted to 29 million 563 thousand dollars. The increase in the quota of the Russian Federation also contributes to the increase in the export of greenhouses from Turkey,” said Pakemir.
