In June, the import of Russian oil to India grew to a record 950,000 barrels per day. This was reported by Reuters.
According to journalists, the Russian Federation took a fifth of the entire volume of the purchased India of oil. In May, the share of supplies from Russia kept at 16.4%, in June this figure reached 19.8%.
Import of Russian oil to India grew by 15.5% in June compared to MAI, while oil imports from Iraq and Saudi Arabia decreased by 10.5% and 13.5%, respectively. Thus, the share of Middle Eastern oil in Indian imports decreased to 56.5% and 59.3%, respectively, according to the data
Russia retains the status of the second supplier of oil to India, second only to Iraq. At the same time, Saudi Arabia remains in 3rd place for the second month in a row.
Indian oil refineries buy Russian oil, which is cheaper than Brent’s black gold. There are no problems with the offer, since European buyers refuse natural resources from Russia against the background of sanctions.
