In the Indian state of Andra-Pradesh, five people were killed as a result of the elephant attack, two more were seriously injured.
According to Hindustan Times, the incident occurred with a group of people who went to the Maha Shivaratri festival. According to the authorities, the participants fell under the attack of the herd of elephants in the forest.
Five people were crushed to death at the scene, the wounded were taken to the hospital. The condition of the two victims remains serious.
