Inflation in United States reached a maximum since 1982

Annual inflation in the United States in November amounted to 6.8% – this is the maximum indicator since June 1982. This is evidenced by the data of the Statistical Bureau of the American Ministry of Team, RIA Novosti reports.

Annual inflation rate in the United States in October amounted to 6.2%. Its growth in November significantly affected the rise in price of gasoline, housing, food, new and used passenger cars and trucks. Thus, the annual increase in prices for some of these positions has become a record minimum for 13 years.

In total, inflation in the United States exceeds the mark of 5% for six months. Experts note that such a dynamics of inflation can push the US Federal Reserve (FRAS) to tighten monetary policy. For example, the Fed may increase the base rate in the second quarter of 2022.
