The financial center in Istanbul presented the project “Digital Istanbul”, in which important information about the historical buildings of the metropolis is planned to be loaded with a QR code.

The project was prepared by the Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Istanbul, the General Department of Turkish Funds, the Department of National Palaces of Turkey and the mufti of Istanbul with the support of the administration of the Governor of the Megapolis and Ziraat Bank.

At the first stage of the implementation of the “Digital Istanbul” project, the QR code with information will be available for 200 to the most visited buildings of the city.

Speaking at the event, the Governor of Istanbul Davat Gul said that over the past 20 years the Main Directorate of Funds and other state institutions and organizations have made efforts to revive the historical heritage of the city.

According to him, almost all architectural buildings were restored over the past decades.

The metropolis annually visit 17 million foreign guests, and almost all of them, although to see well -known architectural monuments, attracted the attention of Gul.
