Since the beginning of 2022, the main air harbor of Azerbaijan – the International Airport Heydar Aliyev – served 4.04 million people. In total for the specified period, the country’s airports served about five million people.
In November of this year, 375 thousand people took advantage of the services of the Baku airport, of which 324 thousand were passengers of international flights.
National Azal and Buta Airways air carriers served 91 thousand and 45 thousand passengers in international areas, respectively, the share of airlines from the total number of international transport was 28% and 14%.
In November 2022, 28 foreign airlines made regular flights to Heydar Aliyev International Airport. The largest number of passengers, in addition to Azal and Buta Airways, transported Turkish Airlines, Aeroflot, Utair, FlyDubai and Azimuth airline.
The ten most popular international directions from Baku last month of the year included Moscow, Istanbul, Dubai, Tbilisi, Abu Dhabi, Sharja, Tashkent, Mineral Waters, Gidda and Ankara. In total, 225 thousand people were served in these areas.
