The International Festival “East – West: Eurasian musical traditions and folk crafts in the cultural space of the Commonwealth of Independent States” was held in Dushanbe. This was reported by NIAT “Hovar” with reference to the Ministry of Culture.
The event was held at the Tajik State Academic Drama Theater named after Abulkosima Lahuti.
Craftsmen from all over Tajikistan and participants from 11 countries of the world presented the best examples of their folk crafts.
Participants and guests of the festival were informed about the history of origin, methods of manufacture and importance of handmade crafts.
Tajik artisans and guests of the International Festival “Vostok – West” were awarded diplomas of the Ministry of Culture of Tajikistan.
At the end of the Tajik arts of arts presented a cultural program.
