We present to our readers with interviews with Jayhun Hajiyev – Director of the largest investment company Azerbaijan, who has played a key role in improving interest in local and foreign investment markets, Pasha Kapital – on the results of the year, about the work scheduled for the coming years.
– Investment company Paşa Kapital is the largest investment company of the national capital market and, according to statistics, in the first 11 months of 2021 its market share reached 52%. What do you think is the main driving force of this success?
– CJSC has been operating since 2012 and has been trying to use all the possibilities for the development of the national securities market, constantly speaking with innovative initiatives and implementing significant projects. Suffice it to say that Pasha Kapital has become the first liquidity provider in the local market over the past decade and received the status of a market meker on the Baku Stock Exchange. Since 2017, the company has focused all its resources on the initiatives to develop securities market with a stable profitability and attracting new issuers and investors to this market. These efforts were not in vain, and since 2018, the volume of the market of state and corporate bonds gradually increased, and at the same time the market share grew. For the past few years, we worked with the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank, attracted companies such as CJSC Azergold, Socar Polymer, Unibank, Silk Wayvest, Azerbaijan Supermarket (Bravo) to Azerbaijan Stock market, and I consider it to be our great achievement. In my opinion, the main reason for the success of “Pasa Kapital” today is a professional team and timely decisions in the right direction. At the same time, I want to note that the significant position of PAşa Kapital in the local market did not slip out of the attention of international media. Over the years and this year, several influential international financial journals and organizations recognized us the best investment company of the country.
– What is the assessment of the overall dynamics of the Azerbaijani capital in recent years? How much this market can satisfy the needs of local issuers and investors?
