The American publication The Washington Post conducted an investigation about the employment of retired US army servicemen in the government of various countries.
It is noted that their work is highly paid: “The Australian government, for example, offered former senior officials of the US Navy more than $ 10 million for consulting services. In Azerbaijan, one backward general general of the US Air Force offered a consultant with a payment of $ 5,000 per day,” – writes the publication.
It is also reported that since 2015 more than 500 retired military personnel got a job in the government of foreign states, most of them are in North Africa or the Middle East, including the work as a consultant in the Ministry of Defense of Saudi Arabia.
