Iran has been trying to stop the pollution of the Araz Armenia River, but to no avail. This was told by journalists Minister of Energy Iran Reza Ardakanian at an event dedicated to the 50th anniversary of commissioning of the Arazskaya and Mil-Mugan Dams and filling the water of the reservoir “Gyz Galasi”.
According to him, in recent years, the Ministry of Energy of Iran makes more efforts to curb the pollution of Armenia River Araz.
“However, Armenian steps to prevent the discharge in the Araz waste is not enough. Iran, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Armenia are planning to hold a four-sided meeting to prevent the pollution of the Araz River,” Ardakanian said.
The minister added that this meeting may soon take place in Iran.
