A high-ranking officer of the guardian guard of the Islamic revolution saved from the attempt on his life in the south-east of Iran. He fell into an ambush, arranged by armed people, but was able to get out of it alive, reports IRNA.
According to the publication, a group of armed people opened fire on the car of the Brigadier General Hussein al-Masi, passing through the checkpoint. The general bodyguard, whose father also serves in the KSIR, was killed on the spot.
It is reported that the shooters are detained, but the details are unknown.
