Iran and Tatarstan on the way of expanding relations, and the main purpose of the visit of the high -ranking delegation of Tatarstan to the Islamic Republic is to establish close and friendly ties with a neighboring country. This was stated by President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
Speaking at the Isfahan – Tatarstan business forum, which took place on Thursday in Iranian Isfahan, expressed gratitude for hospitality and emphasized admiration for the beauty and development of the region and the city of Isfahan on behalf of the delegation of Tatarstan.
He also expressed hope for the discovery of new areas of interaction and concluding agreements on joint projects during a visit.
If the first day of the visit of the head of Tatarstan was dedicated to meetings with high officials of Iran in Tehran, then today’s events are a business agenda. An interregional business forum was held in Isfahan.
As part of the event, representatives of the two regions discussed their economic and investment potential, determined directions for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the framework of Russian-Iranian relations.
The Governor of the Province of Isfahan assured that all the proposals and initiatives expressed at the forum will continue, and in the near future the participants will again meet for a more detailed discussion and implementation of the planned projects.
At the forum, representatives of Tatarstan and Isfahan presented their economic and investment potential and outlined the areas where the development of cooperation is possible.
In general, the economic interaction between Tatarstan and Iran can be called successful: over 9 months of 2023, compared with the same period last year, it increased by 1.5 times – to $ 162 million
The republic is interested in the supply of KAMAZ trucks, helicopters, cargo -passenger vessels, petrochemical products and mineral fertilizers, oil and gas production and compressors, refrigeration equipment, food and agricultural goods, medical and pharmaceutical products.
