This week there will be negotiations between the Turkish company Botaş and the National Gas Company Iran. This was announced by the Local Media Minister of Oil Iran Javad Owdi.
According to him, the extension of the gas agreement with Turkey is one of the issues on the agenda of the Ministry of Oil Iran and the National Gas Company Iran. “According to a new agreement, gas exports to Turkey will last until 2026. Negotiations start between Botaş and the National Gas Company of Iran,” the minister said.
Iran is the third supplier of natural gas to Turkey after Russia and Azerbaijan – about 7-8 billion cubic meters every year. Gas comes from deposits in the south of Iran in a gas distribution station near the city of Erzurum (Turkey) on a trunk pipeline, a length of 2,577 kilometers.
