Iran Conducts Air Defense Systems For Protection Of Nuclear Facility Natanz

Iran announced the conduct of exercises on air defense as part of preparation for a possible attack on the airspace of a nuclear facility in Isfahan.

According to the official Iranian IRNA news agency, a brigade general, commander of the Joint Staff of the Air Defense Health of Al-Anbiya Kadir Rakhimzade, made a statement on the conduct of the exercise.

According to the statement, the doctrine of the air defense is carried out to protect the nuclear facility Natanz in the province of Isfahan from a possible attack.

During the exercises of the Air Defense unit, training for the protection of the nuclear object of Natanz from acuity attacks, electronic attacks and the threats of various air attacks in difficult conditions.

Brigade General Rakhimzade said that the exercises are conducted as part of the annual plan. He noted that the air defense units of the Iranian Army and the Corps of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution (CSSI) are deployed near sensitive centers with new and unknown systems and in the coming days will take part in joint exercises.

According to him, the maneuvers of the air defense are the first stage of the exercises. Rakhimzade did not provide information about how many days the exercises will last and how many stages are planned.
