In the province of Khormozgan in the south of Iran, the construction of a new nuclear power plant (nuclear power plant) with a capacity of 20 thousand megavatts began, Irna reports.
The construction launch ceremony was held in the city of Sirik as part of the visit of President Iran Ebrahim Raisi.
The ceremony was also attended by the Vice President and Head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization Mohammad Eslavi.
The project is aimed at increasing the production of atomic energy in the country up to 20 thousand megavatts.
