Iran: first convicted person was executed during protests

In Iran, they executed the first prisoner who was convicted of the alleged crime associated with continuing protests, Al Jazeera reports.

According to the report, Mohsen Shekari was convicted that he wounded the guard with a long knife and blocked Tehran Street.

It is reported that the Supreme Court rejected the appeal filed by the defendant, and justified the sentence, saying that the defendant’s actions were a “crime of war against God.”
