The third round of negotiations on Tehran’s nuclear program between Iran, Germany, Great Britain and France in Geneva, passed “constructively.” This was announced by the Deputy Foreign Ministry of Iran, Kazym Garib Abadi in his account on social networks.
“Discussed key details to achieve an agreement on a nuclear program and lifting sanctions,” Abadi said.
According to the deputy minister, the parties agreed to continue negotiations and emphasized the importance of creating a favorable atmosphere to achieve an agreement.
May 8, 2018, during the presidency of Donald Trump, the United States unilaterally left the nuclear agreement signed with Iran in 2015, and again imposed sanctions against this country.
In April 2021, negotiations on a nuclear transaction began in Vienna, aimed at resuming an agreement with Iran and the return of the United States to it.
However, due to a number of disagreements between Washington and Tehran, negotiations were suspended in early September 2022.
In his statement in December 2024, the General Director of the International Agency for Atomic Energy (IAEA) Rafael Mariano Grossy reported a meeting in Tehran with Iranian President Masud Pesheshkian and Foreign Minister Abbas Erakchi. According to Gromia, the parties are in the process of starting new negotiations.
