In Iran, they plan to build a new nuclear power plant with the involvement of financing from Russia. This was announced by the Minister of Oil Iran Mokhsen Paknezhad.
According to Iranian news agency Irna, the Minister of Oil Iran made a visit to Moscow in order to participate in the 18th meeting of the Russian-Iranian commission on trade and economic cooperation.
Paknezhad noted that the meeting of the commission was held in the atmosphere of friendship and understanding.
Iran and Russia will continue to cooperate on the issue of “peaceful use of nuclear energy, the construction of new nuclear power plants and the completion of the construction of the second and third power units of the Bushersky nuclear power plant”.
“According to the agreement between the parties reached, a new nuclear power plant will be built in Iran due to Moscow financing,” Paknezhad said.
The Minister also drew attention to previous agreements between Iran and Russia, aimed at strengthening cooperation in the oil industry and developing oil and gas fields.
“Tehran and Moscow intend to speed up the implementation and completion of cooperation agreements with Gazprom,” he said.
During the commission of the commission, the two countries reached an agreement on comprehensive cooperation in the banking system, harmonize standards for the development of trade and lifting restrictions, strengthening shopping centers in two countries in order to promote acquaintance of businessmen and bilateral trade, as well as strengthening cooperation in the field of agriculture, healthcare and customs, ”said the Iranian Minister.
Earlier, Paknezhad said that Iran will sign an agreement with Russian companies for $ 4 billion on the development of seven oil fields.
