Minister of Oil Iran Javad Ovgi announced that Turkmen gas swap in Azerbaijan through Iran will begin on January 1, 2022, Turkmen media report.
“The volume of the annual gas swap agreement is 1.5-2 billion cubic meters of natural gas. We can use this opportunity to help stabilize the provision of natural gas to the Northern regions of Iran during the cold season,” said Javad Ovzhi.
Recall that on November 28, within the framework of the 15th Summit of the Organization for Economic Cooperation (OES) in Ashgabat, Azerbaijan, Iran and Turkmenistan concluded a three-sided agreement on gas sword supply.
