Iranian President Called For Accelerating Transfer Of Capital From Tehran To South Of Country

Iranian President Masud Kiteshkin announced the start of work on plans to transfer the capital of the country from Tehran to the southern borders of the country, to the banks of the Persian Gulf.

According to news in the media of the country, the president, in his speech during a visit to the headquarters of the Hatam Al-Anbiya, again raised the issue of transferring the capital from Tehran, which was discussed in the past.

In his opinion, it became impossible to leave Tehran as a capital for a number of reasons, primarily economic: “Tehran is faced with problems that cannot be solved. Whatever we do, we lose time. Therefore, we have no other choice, we have no other choice, except how to transfer the country’s economic and political center to the sea to the south. “

“Ignoring this issue can subject the country to an environmentally friendly crisis and many other problems in the future,” said Pesheshkian, adding that the first vice president Mohammad Reye was instructed to trace plans for the transfer of the capital.

The plan for the transfer of the capital of Iran from Tehran with a population of about 20 million people to another city was adopted on December 25, 2013 by the votes of 110 deputies of the 290-seater parliament. The council formed within the framework of the plan conducted research on the subject of “where the best alternative” for the capital will be.

Until now, no steps have been taken on this issue.
