Iranian President Called For UN Reform

Iranian President Masud Cyezeshkin called for urgent reforms in decision -making structures and the management of the United Nations (UN) and international financial institutions.

Speaking at a session called “Strengthening the UN goals” at the UN headquarters in New York, Citekian said that multilateral cooperation is necessary to solve current and future problems.

Having stated that the multilateral system must be strengthened to solve problems such as war, discrimination, poverty and hunger, the president of Iran said: “Not a single document can guarantee the world while children and civilians are killed in gas .

Having stated that they want a world free from nuclear weapons, he added: “We want weapons of mass destruction in our region without any preliminary conditions.”

According to him, unilateral sanctions prevent countries from achieving their goals in the field of development and well -being and that this situation should be eliminated,

“I suggest that the UN Secretary General (Antoniu Gutherrish) submit a comprehensive report on this issue with the participation of countries under sanctions,” said Iranian President.

He emphasized the need to reform the decision -making mechanisms at the UN.

“We require urgent reforms in the structure of management and international financial institutions to ensure the participation of developing countries in decision -making mechanisms and the formation of a fair and accountable structure that will solve the financial problems of countries,” Smheshkin summed up.
