The United States has turned the dollar into weapons and a tool for control over other countries. This was stated by Iranian President Masud Cyzeshkin at a meeting of the Brix summit in a narrow composition, reports Iranian news agency IRNA.
According to him, cooperation in BRICS can negate the hegemony of the American currency.
“The world considers BRICS as a way of weakening the hegemony of the dollar and increasing settlements in national currencies,” he said.
He noted that the BRICS countries are the largest manufacturers and at the same time the largest consumers of energy, food and other goods. “They have access to the most important ways of communications and transit. This is a huge advantage that facilitates trade using national currencies,” the politician added.
