Iranian vice-president on strategic issues, Mohammad Javad Zarif filed a resignation.
According to the official Iranian news agency IRNA, the resignation of the Zarifa followed after impeachment to the Minister of Economy Abdolnaser Hemmati.
Hemmati was accused of inability to solve the country’s economic problems.
It is noted that Iranian President Masud Cyezeshkin has not yet responded to the statement of Zarif about the resignation.
Zarif, who served as the Iranian Foreign Minister from 2013 to 2021, was one of the authors of a nuclear agreement signed in 2015.
In August, President Pesheshkin appointed Zarifa vice president on strategic issues.
Zarif, who was attacked by ultra -conservative groups, hinted that he would resign in August, when the government received a vote of confidence in parliament, but later he resumed the performance of his duties.
In addition, the Zarif was criticized by Iran’s ultra -conservative groups for the prohibition on wearing hijab and the situation with Hamas, voiced at the World Economic Forum (VEF) in the Swiss Davos.
