Iraq Attaches Great Importance To Iran’s Safety And Stability

Prime Minister of Iraq Muhammad Shia al-Sudani said that Baghdad rejects threats to Iran and attaches great importance to the safety and stability of a neighboring country.

According to the office of the Prime Minister of Iraq, during a telephone conversation with Iranian President Masud Cyzeshkian Sudani emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination in the Islamic world.

Sudani, in particular, said that “Islamic countries must act jointly against the threats and dangers facing them.” At the same time, Iraq Prime Minister noted that they do not take threats to Iran and expressed the importance that they give the country’s security and stability.

Sudani and Cyezeshkin also discussed issues of strengthening cooperation between the two countries and protecting common interests.

The relationship between Baghdad and Tehran has a strong connection. Iraq considers Iran a strategic ally.
