Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Iraq Fuad Hussein said that they have excellent relations with Turkey and the parties are working to further improve these relations.
Hussein, who arrived in Antalya to participate in the 4th diplomatic forum, told the Anadol correspondent about the relationship between Turkey and Iraq.
“Iraq and Turkey has a very good, even excellent relationship. We want them to go deeper and develop further,” Hussein said, adding that they are working together with Turkey in various fields.
reminding that oil supplies from the regional government of Iraqi Kurdistan (Territory) to Turkey ceased due to legal problems, the minister noted:
“There are currently negotiations between the regional government of Kurdistan, the federal government and oil companies working in the edges to reach an agreement.
“This issue (oil flow) is not related to Turkey, but refers to the internal affairs of Iraq. I hope that the conflicting parties will come to an agreement, and we will begin the oil transshipment in the edges,” said Minister Iraq Hussein.
The Minister said that within the framework of the development road, the expansion of the Port FAV, the construction of railways and industrial zones began.
According to him, the project “Development Road” is a large project that concerns Iraq, Turkey, and other countries.
– We have a good relationship with Syria
Answering a question about relations with Syria, Fuad Hussein said:
“The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Syria Assad al-Shebani visited Baghdad, and we held excellent negotiations. I will meet him (Sheibani) and here, in general, our relations with Syria are good.”
Speaking of the USA and Iran, the Iraqi minister emphasized that it is very important for Iraq and the entire region that these two countries maintain good relations.
“The USA is our ally. We are glad that on April 12 negotiations will be held between the United States and Iran. We hope that the parties will reach an agreement,” summed up Fuad Hussein.
