Iraq Prime Minister Muhammad Shiya al-Sudani held a telephone conversation with Donald Trump chosen by the 47th US President.
According to the Office of As-Sudani, the head of the Iraqi government congratulated Trump in connection with the victory in the past fifth in the United States of the presidential election.
The leaders of the two countries expressed a desire to develop a strategic partnership between the two countries through close cooperation in the field of economics, finance, energy and technologies, as well as strengthen bilateral relations that go beyond security.
AS-Sudani during the conversation touched Trump’s election promises to put an end to wars in the region. In this context, an agreement was reached by two parties to act together, coordinated, noted in the office of the head of the Iraqi Cabinet.
Trump also expressed a desire to work on a positive agenda of the day with AS-Sudani and meet in the near future to discuss the improvement of relations between Iraq and the United States.
