The militants of the terrorist organization “Islamic state” took control of the city of Palma in the north of Mozambique. According to Reuters, no less than 55 people died, including soldiers.
It is noted that the city is located near gas fields that are owned by large oil companies.
As a result of a brutal attack, several dozen inhabitants were decapitated, more than two dozen Mozambique soldiers were killed, two thirds of the city were burned, 35 thousand people fled to the neighboring settlements, including the border with Tanzania, said the representative of the Association for the Protection of Women’s Rights Julia Vachawe reports RIA Novosti.
