Ismailova strangled her 70-year-old husband and went to prison

The trial in the criminal case of a 61-year-old resident of Baku Inessa Ismailova, accused of killing his 70-year-old husband, ended.

According to haqqın.az, the incident occurred on May 9, 2021. Ismailova, who was going to celebrate on May 9 with her friends, got angry when her husband, Rashid Akhundov, appeared home drunk, thereby violating her plans. A conflict began between the spouses. The woman, taking advantage of the fact that Akhundov was under the influence of alcohol, tumbled him to the floor and began to strangle a chain that was on the neck of the man. Leaving the body in the corridor, Ismailova and her friends went to the restaurant. Returning home at night, she took off the chain from her husband’s body and hid her to hide the traces of the crime. After that, she called an ambulance.

Ismailova charged under article 120.1 (intentional murder) of the Criminal Code. The defendant did not admit the guilt of the charges presented to her. In her testimony, she said that she met Akhundov in 2009 on a social network, and a year later they got married and lived together. The official marriage of Akhunds and Ismailov entered in 2018. Relatives of the man said that he retired in 2018, the size of which was 2300 manat per month.

Ismailova claimed that she did not touch her husband with her finger, moreover, she tried to save him. Since the testimony of a woman in court contradicted this investigation, her statement was announced for the investigation. In them, Ismailova said that perhaps she inflicted injuries to him, trying to bring to her senses.

In court, she stated that she “screamed, cried and even called her first husband Rauf to call for help. She said that she left Rashid at home in a state of intoxication, and when she returned, she found him in the corridor in a half -fossil state. She laid the body on the bed, called an ambulance and tried to hide the traces of the murder.

The relatives of the deceased said that Akhundov was not ill, and traces of violent death were found on his body.
