Israel’s authorities decided from March 1 to suspend the use of COVID passports in the country due to a decrease in incidence of coronavirus, reports The Times of Israel.
According to the Prime Minister of Israel, Naftali Bennett, the COVID-19 wave in the country went to the decline and in the near future we can weaken and other restrictions.
COVID passports in Israel issued to those who have been vaccinated or sorted by COVID-19 or has a fresh negative test result on coronavirus. They are needed to visit closed premises and major events.
According to the Ministry of Health of Israel, more than 21 thousand contaminated coronavirus revealed in the country over the past day. For comparison: in January, the indicator exceeded 80 thousand. Since the beginning of the pandemic in the country has registered more than 3.4 million infesses, over 9.6 thousand people died.
