The Ministry of Health of Israel canceled the requirement of the mandatory wearing of inspection masks from Tuesday, June 15 due to the low incidence of COVID-19, the press service of the department reports.
“Director General of the Ministry of Health Professor Hzi Levi has signed amendment to the order of public health, which cancels the obligation to carry masks from Tuesday, June 15,” the press service of the Ministry of Health said.
The exceptions make up several cases, including masks remain mandatory for those who are sent to quarantine, for employees and patients of geriatic institutions. It is noted that special instructions will be developed for doctors, when contacting what patients, we need to wear a mask. In early June, Health Minister Julius Edelstein promised that citizens would be allowed not to wear indoor masks, if the incidence rates of coronavirus in Israel will not start growing.
In recent days, single cases of COVID-19 disease are detected in Israel.
