Israel intends to work on creating a coalition of Arab countries who want to limit the influence of Iran in the region. According to TASS, this was stated by the Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett in an interview with the New York Times newspaper.
According to the prime minister, at a meeting in Washington with US President Joe Biden on August 26, he will present a new strategic vision on this issue. “What we need to do is what we do is the creation of the regional coalition of rational Arab countries, which together with us will repulse and block this expansion,” he said.
As the edition notes, Bennett did not go into the details of these plans.
Earlier in August, Bennet took the director of the CIA William Burns in Tel Aviv. They discussed the situation in the Middle East, paying special attention to Iran, as well as the development of cooperation in exploration and security.
