Israel lifts quarantine

The Israeli government has approved the transition to the third phase of the exit from quarantine, which includes the opening of restaurants, halls, theaters and stadiums for the vaccinated, and permission for citizens and residence permit holders to return to the country from abroad. According to RIA Novosti, this was reported by the government press service.

“The government approved the transition to the third phase of the release from quarantine, which will begin on Sunday, March 7, during a telephone vote tonight,” the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement.

At the third stage, restaurants, banquet halls, theaters and stadiums will be opened with certain restrictions. Only customers with a “green passport” – a vaccination certificate, will be able to serve in the premises of restaurants, in open areas – everyone, but no more than 100 people. The distance between tables should not be less than two meters.

Cultural, sports and social events are allowed, provided that the number of participants does not exceed 500 people indoors and 750 people outdoors. In the hall and at the stadium with a capacity of more than 10 thousand seats, up to a thousand people can be indoors and up to 1.5 thousand outdoors.

The ban on the entry of Israelis and holders of a residence permit into the country is lifted, with the exception of restrictions on entry through land border crossings, which will work on a special schedule. However, the maximum quota for entering Israel will be up to 3 thousand people a day, and this figure will gradually increase in accordance with the plan of the Ministry of Transport.
