The Ministry of Health of Israel has resolved hospitals from August 11 to treat patients with coronavirus patients in serious condition using the new Israeli drug called Mesencure, reports detaly.co.il.
This decision was made after the experimental drug was used in the Rambam hospital in Haifa in recent months and showed good results: 14 of 16 seriously ill patients receiving medicine were discharged from the hospital.
In the “Rambam” hospital reported that the treatment lasted four days, while most patients were discharged home every day after its completion. In the coming days, a decision will be made in which hospitals will be applied by Mesencure.
in the Ministry of Health clarified that the drug is made of mesenchymal cells, which are removed from the adipose tissue of healthy donors. The activity of mesenchymal cells is aimed at improving the efficiency of the patient’s body cells.
After administration to the patient’s body, mesenchymal cells achieve lungs and work to reduce inflammation caused by coronavirus. The drug also contributes to the regeneration of tissues and facilitating various respiratory symptoms.
