Israeli colonel was wounded in a shootout

The Israeli Defense Army Colonel and two civil Israelis were injured on Thursday during the shooting between Israeli military and the fire on them with armed Palestinians in the plug, TASS reports with reference to the press service of the Israeli Defense Army.

“At night, the army units accompanied the passage of hundreds of [Jewish] pilgrims to the tomb of Joseph in the city of Nablus. During the event, the Palestinians opened fluid fire on pilgrims. Two Israeli civilian were injured,” the statement said.

As the Israeli military stated, the soldiers reacted with fire towards the shooting: “In addition, the commander of the shomron regional brigade, Colonel Roy Zweig received a slight fragmentation wound and was evacuated to the hospital for treatment.”
