Turkey’s Navy is the strongest naval forces in the region, the specialists of the Israeli Research Center for Maritime Policy and the University Strategy and the University Strategy Strategies have concluded, reports TRT in Russian.
In the annual assessment of the balance of strength, experts recommended the Israeli government to seriously think about the military potential, which Ankara already has to solve problems in the near and far sea zones.
The largest universal landing ship (UDC) TCG Anadolu TCG Anadolu must be introduced into the Fleet until the end of this year to solve expedition tasks, while Turkey can guarantee its cover with existing escort ships.
Experts pay attention that the new UDC will provide Turkey unprecedented opportunities for operations in both the Black Sea and in the Eastern Mediterranean area. Ankara is also actively modernizing its underwater fleet: in the coming years – until the 2027th – six submarin type of Reis type according to the modernized Type 214TN project with anaerobic power plants should be built.
It is expected that after Turkey will focus on the construction of a submarine on the basis of the Type 209 project, and thus Ankara will receive a significant advantage over Tel Aviv from the point of view of the tellava.
In addition, Turkey has enough shipyard to replenish the surface fleet and upgrades of existing ships. “Turkey produces private weapons and military equipment, including winged rockets with a radius of defeat hundreds of kilometers. Turkey’s Navy Arsenal is currently American Harpoon Anti-Lake Rockets, which are expected to be replaced by ATMACA missiles.
The ship composition has a total number of about 160 combat units, taking into account the warships and boats of all classes, as well as about 130 providing. A separate place is the coast guard of Turkey, which has about 140 ships and boats of various classes.
