Israeli President Yitzhak Duke today called the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the official website of the head of state reports.
The duke thanked Aliyev for the decision to open the Azerbaijani embassy in Israel and noted that this is a big step forward in excellent relations with Azerbaijan, which is an important friendly country and a strategic partner for Israel.
Aliyev expressed gratitude to the duke for a phone call.

During a telephone conversation, various aspects of Israelsk-Azerbaijani ties were discussed, an exchange of opinions on future contacts took place.
