Issues Of Expansion Of Inter -parliamentary Cooperation Of Uzbekistan And France Were Discussed

The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the chairman of the National Assembly of France, Yael Brown-Pive in the Bourbon Palace of Paris. On Thursday, March 13, the press service of the head of the Uzbek state reports.

The issues of further expansion of the inter -parliamentary exchange between the two states are considered. With deep satisfaction, the historical significance of the current visit is emphasized, according to which Uzbekistan and France established relations of strategic partnership.

The head of the lower house of the French parliament praised the results of the conducted democratic transformations in New Uzbekistan, strengthening the role of representative bodies, guarantees of women, children, youth and persons with disabilities, ensuring environmental safety.

The issues of creating the Uzbek-French inter-parliamentary forum and the resumption of the work of friendship groups based on the “Road map”

were discussed.

Mirziyoev invited the chairman of the National Assembly to visit Uzbekistan to participate in the anniversary of the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in April this year in the city of Tashkent. At the end of the meeting, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan left an entry in the book of honored guests.

, as part of a state visit to France, a meeting of Shavkat Mirziyoyev with the mayor of Paris Ann Idalgo also met.

At the beginning of the conversation, the head of state sincerely congratulated the mayor of the capital on the successful conduct of the Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games, and also thanked for the assignment of one of the streets of Paris named after Samarkand.

In turn, Ann Idalgo expressed gratitude to the leader of Uzbekistan for assisting in ensuring public safety during the period of the Olympic measures.

At the meeting with deep satisfaction, the historical results of the current visit of the President of Uzbekistan were noted, during which the multifaceted relations between the two countries rose to the level of strategic partnership.

The issues of activating practical interaction and exchanges between Tashkent and Paris based on the adopted agreement were discussed.

We are talking about the exchange of experience in the field of urban planning, the creation of “green” zones, the development of public transport, digitalization, as well as modernization and sustainable operation of urban communications.

In addition, the issues of mutual conduct of exhibitions, days of culture and art, tourist gastronomic festivals are considered.

At the end of the meeting, the official ceremony of assigning one of the streets of Paris named after Samarkand was held.

The head of state and the mayor of Paris also signed a joint document on the stay of the President of Uzbekistan in the city of Paris as an honorary guest. This memorable letter will be exhibited at the Museum Fund of the City Hall.
