Istanbul airport was recognized as the most loaded air harbor of Europe, from where in the period from May 9 to 15, 2023 an average of 1419 flights per day was carried out. This is stated in the latest report of the European Air Traffic operator EuroControl.
The following is followed by Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam (1325 flights), the Paris Airport Charles de Goll (1310 flights), Khitrovo in London (1287) and the Rhine-Main airport in Frakfurt-on-Maine (1252).
Among the 10 best airports in Europe, only the airport of Istanbul and the Palma de Majorca airport in Spain in 2023 made more than 2019 flights.
Istanbul Airport has again become one of the leading airports in Europe, increasing the volume of daily flights by 24 percent compared to 2019 and 20 percent compared to 2022.
