According to the annual report of the international council of airports in Europe, passenger traffic at the continent airports last year grew by 37 percent, while in 2020 on the background of the pandemic this figure decreased by 59 percent compared with 2019.
According to ACI Europe, the largest number of passengers served Turkey and Russia’s air harbors in 2021. The busiest airport for the results of 2021 is recognized by the Istanbul Airport – 36,988,563 passengers. In second place, Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow – 30,943,456 passengers, on the third airport named after Charles de Gaulle in Paris – 26 201 698 passengers, on the fourth – Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, on the fifth – Domodedovo Airport in Moscow, transfers Anadolu.
