Istanbul broke a record of attendance by tourists according to the results of the first quarter of 2024.
According to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, for the mentioned period, the Turkish metropolis visited 5,244,936 foreign guests.
This number is 9.94 percent exceeds the indicator for the same period last year.
According to the agency, in April of this year, the most in Istanbul visited tourists from Russia 167,824. The following are Germany (109 202), Iran (80 193), USA (68 103), France (62 404), Great Britain ( 60 429) and Saudi Arabia (42 0 59).
