As part of the Istanbul Energy Forum, a ministerial session was held on the topic “Calls and opportunities for a sustainable future.”
The Istanbul Energy Forum is organized by the Anadola agency under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey.

The heads of energy departments discussed the topics of diversification of energy resources, the use of renewable energy sources, and also talked about energy investments and activities in their countries.
According to the Minister of Energy of Moldova Viktor Parlikov, investments in energy in his country reached historical peak. “We have invested significant funds in the production of electricity, a heating system and renewable energy sources,” he said.
The Minister of Oil and Gas Libya Khalifa Abdulsadek noted that the country implements a strategy that provides for focusing on renewable sources in the production of energy. “Our country is located between the Sahara and the Sea. This is a very good location in terms of solar energy. We have many projects in this direction. Our goal is to generate electricity and supply it to Europe,” said Abdulsadek.
The Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Parviz Shakhbazov recalled that Azerbaijan is one of the first countries where industrial oil production was started.
According to him, the number of countries in which the republic supplies natural gas has increased to 12
in the last period.
Shahbazov said that in addition to national projects, Azerbaijan is involved in the implementation of a number of international projects. The minister noted that the points of connection in various areas have been created. “One of them connects Nakhichevan, Turkey and Europe. The other will bind the Black Sea, Romania, Georgia, Hungary and Bulgaria. This is our compound strategy. The task of Azerbaijan is to unite these countries through these projects” , he said.
Bulgarian Energy Minister Vladimir Malinov pointed out that Türkiye “can become a bridge through which geographically renewable energy sources can reach Europe.”
