The Russian authorities probably create an information background for an “attack under a stranger flag” in the Belgorod region, writes in its summary of November 22 the American Institute for Studying War (ISW), which has been analyzing the situation at the front since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Kremlin propagandists began to put forward hypotheses that the Armed Forces of Ukraine strive to invade the Belgorod region, while other Russian sources note that the Russian troops need to restore control of Kupyanskoye in the Kharkiv region in order to minimize the threat of the attack of the Ukrainian military, analysts report.
Applications on the alleged invasion of the Belgorod region appeared against the backdrop of a decrease in support of the war among Russians, including residents of border regions, after the mobilization and failures of the Russian Federation.
