The Italian authorities from February 2022 arrested various property of Russian entrepreneurs worth more than 2 billion euros.
This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister and the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy Antonio Tayani.
“We also want to be the main characters in the restoration of Ukraine. In the end, we are among the countries that have the most withdrawn funds from Russian oligarchs, we are talking about more than 2 billion euros – money that can be used for restoration of the country. We will organize an event that will take place in Rome in Rome to present a plan and attract as many companies as possible, ”he said in an interview with the newspaper La Stampa.
In March 2022, Italian authorities announced that they began the confiscation of the property of Russian oligarchs.
Tayani said that he would take part in a special session of the UN General Assembly.
“We will introduce and approve a document that, as we hope, will become an impetus for the world,” said the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy.
“We are waiting for China to see the offer of 12 points that they voiced,” he added.
“I hope that the mission of Van and to Moscow is a sign that the Chinese really want to put pressure on the Russians in search of the path to the world. If the obligations are specific, then the role of China may be important,” Tayani believes.
