On November 5, the official opening ceremony of it Academy was held with the joint support of ministries of economics and science and education.
The ceremony with a welcoming speech was performed by official representatives of the State Resignation of the CEO of the International School of Programming and Mathematics “Algorithmika”, as well as representatives of Baku Steel Company, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency and Azerbaijani State University of Oil and Industry (AgunP), which are, which are partners IT-ACADEMY.
Deputy Minister of Economics Sahab Mammadov said that the world economy is currently in the process of digitalization, which promises new opportunities. Therefore, digitalization of the economy is a long -term goal. The constant use of new technologies and the development of competitive human capital and a sustainable economy are one of the priorities of Azerbaijan. In this regard, the corresponding steps are taken for the development of a digital economy in Azerbaijan.
In turn, the Deputy Minister of Science and Education Mukhtar Mammadov noted a great interest in the project and emphasized that IT Academy will contribute to technological development. The deputy minister also informed about the project “Digital skills” implemented in general educational institutions since 2017.
Andrei Lobanov made a speech about the significance of the training of adult IT specialists for Azerbaijan. He spoke about the approach that is used by IT-A-Academy in students’ training, about the positive influence of the program on the development of digitalization of the country.
At the event, leading experts shared their knowledge and experience in the IT field, and also discussed the prospects for the development of IT.
The second part of the event was performed by leading IT specialists. They shared their knowledge and experience in the IT sphere and conducted a discussion on the topics “Career from scratch: how to get to IT” and “Prospects for the development of IT in Azerbaijan”. The event also hosted the presentation of the IT-A-A-Academy and participants in the event, detailed information on this topic was provided.
