Japan studies the possibility of increasing its arsenal of high -range cruise missiles to 1 thousand pieces to increase the potential in case of necessary counterattacks against China, reports Yomiuri with reference to government sources.
As notes the publication, existing missiles, the radius of which is about 100 km, will be modified in such a way as to hit targets at a distance of up to 1 thousand km.
At the same time, it is expected that the first high -range missiles can be adopted by Japan self -defense forces already in 2024, which is two years earlier than the initial plans.
