Japan plans to supply a part of its reserves of liquefied natural gas to Europe, since due to the exacerbation of the crisis around Ukraine there is a threat of European energy security, the Kyodo Agency reports with reference to the sources in the government.
According to media reports, Tokyo expressed the readiness to supply gas in response to the request of the US President Joe Bayden.
Before the start of gas supplies to the European market, Japan will make sure that the fuel is enough in the domestic market to cover all the needs of the country.
