Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kisida told his Indian colleague Narendre Fashion that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine shakeped the “basis of international order”, and demands a clear answer to this, reports Reuters.
India and Japan are members of the four-sided security dialogue (Quad), the security structure, which also includes States and Australia, but India is the only CUAD member that has not condemned the invasion.
Kisida after a meeting with Mod said that “any one-sided change of status quo by force cannot be fareweigh in any region, and it is necessary to look for a peaceful resolution of disputes based on international law.”
Modi refrained from direct comments about Ukraine, but noted that the geopolitical incidents “represent new problems.”
Recall, India abstained from the vote for the UN General Assembly Resolution, according to which Russia should bring troops from Ukraine.
