The Japanese government will allocate 15.8 billion yen ($ 106 million) for the restoration of Ukraine in seven regions, including reconstruction of infrastructure.
According to the official news agency Kyodo, the funds will be allocated at the Japanese-Ukrainian conference to promote economic restoration. The governments of the two countries will sign more than 10 memorandums about cooperation.
The conference will be attended by Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kisid and Prime Minister Denis Shmygal, as well as more than 300 representatives of the bureaucratic and business circles of the two countries.
In an interview with Kyodo this month, Shmygal said that Japanese companies in the field of energy, infrastructure, agriculture and mechanical engineering can play “a big role in the promotion of the restoration of the Ukrainian economy”.
