Japanese Prime Minister Noted Importance Of US Leadership In East Asia

Japanese Prime Minister Kisid Fumio announced the need for US leadership in East Asia.

Kisida, which is expected to leave his post at the end of September, continues contacts in the USA in the fields of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.

Taking part in the event organized by Bloomberg in New York, Kisida noted that the foundations of international order are threatened in various parts of the world, including as a result of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.

According to the Japanese Prime Minister, during his stay at the post, he made every effort to support the Alliance of Japan and the USA, strengthen the defense potential of Japan and “maintain international order based on the rules.”
